Join LBDA in Supporting the National Plan to End Parkinson’s

Sometimes it feels like LBD is hidden in the shadows of two more common diseases – Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. But did you know that federal funding of LBD research has grown tremendously thanks to legislation that created and funded the National Alzheimer’s Plan?

Now, LBDA is joining the Parkinson’s field to urge Congress to pass the National Plan to End Parkinson’s. This first-of-its-kind legislation will unite the federal government in a mission to prevent and cure Parkinson’s. And just like in the Alzheimer’s legislation, this new legislation covers not just Parkinson’s disease, but also the movement changes seen in Lewy body dementia called parkinsonism, AND the underlying biological changes called Lewy body disease.

This legislation has monumental potential to accelerate a cure and care for those living with LBD and their families, and we need your help to get it passed!
