As part of DLS’s ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting causes important to our team members, they are hosting the inaugural DLS 5k! in Arlington, VA on Saturday, August 24th.
Proceeds of this race will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Lewy Body is a progressive brain disorder many people have never heard of – despite being the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer’s.
The racecourse will be out-and-back and mostly flat along the W&OD Trail. The start/finish line will be on the trail near Madison Manor park. There will be one aid station just before the turnaround point (1.3 miles), and all finishers will receive a t-shirt (t-shirt selection NOT guaranteed after July 24th early registration cut-off). Timing will be done manually with a race clock and bibs (no chips) and prizes will be awarded to the top finishers!
