    About This Center

At Struthers Parkinson’s Center, we recognize the significant and unique impact Lewy body disease (LBD) has on individuals and their loved ones. Struthers is the only Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence in the four-state upper Midwest region. In 2025, we were honored to be designated as an LBDA Research Center of Excellence. Although the Twin Cities metropolitan area is home to an estimated 4.1 million residents, our highly specialized multidisciplinary team provides care, education, and support to patients and families from neighboring states. Our team includes several active clinician-researchers, allowing us to offer a number of clinical trial opportunities.

Teamwork is at the heart of what we do at Struthers Parkinson’s Center. We offer a comprehensive, individualized Team Assessment that includes physician, nurse, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy evaluations, as well as ongoing care throughout the course of the disease. We also provide neuropsychological evaluations, neurologic music therapy, and palliative care. Our interdisciplinary team meets regularly to discuss our patients, ensuring that we provide holistic care for the person with LBD and those involved in their care.
