About This Center

The Houston Methodist Research Center of Excellence (RCOE) is a collaborative effort between the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute and the Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS). The Research Center of Excellence (RCOE) is located at Houston Methodist Nantz National Alzheimer Center in the Stanley H. Appel Department of Neurology.

The Center offers individuals with LBD and their families access to advanced diagnostic services, research opportunities, and treatment options. Research participation is available, including clinical drug trials.

Toledo Atucha, Juan B., M.D.

Dr. Jon Toledo is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill College of Medicine and the Ann and Billy Harrison Centennial Chair in Alzheimer's Research at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. He has been involved in dementia with Lewy body research and care since 2013 and is one of the co-authors of the dementia with Lewy bodies diagnostic criteria. He is interested in clinical trials, biomarkers, and neuropathology.
