|Post subject:||All of the sudden non-responsive|
My grandmother was diagnosed with LBD about a year ago. She's had all sorts of 'episodes' before she leveled out to her new normal. On Thursday, she became non-responsive, (catatonic is the best way that i know to describe it). Home health care came to get urine sample (because we were all sure she had a UTI) and inserting the catheter didn't phase her. Had to have rescue transport her to ER. No UTI, no stroke, no anything (after two days in hospital). She will not talk, eat swallow. She will move her legs/head now if you do something that she doesn't like (swabbing her mouth, inserting cath because she wont get up to go to restroom). She responded to two questions yesterday before going out again (shutting her eyes). She snores that's how we know she's sleeping. She has sleep apnea and is on oxygen in hospital. The doctors are totally baffled.
We are just don't know what to think or do now. They are still running tests.
If anyone has experienced this, comments would be greatly appreciated.
