For dementia care partners, legal and financial planning are common sources of distress, and few resources exist to assist them in these activities.
What is this study about?
The purpose of this study is to gather information to help guide the development of a user-centered web-based tool that may help persons with dementia and/or their care partners accomplish personalized financial management and legal planning, that may result in better financial/legal outcomes.
What’s involved?
Participation in this study will last a few months. Volunteers will be asked to:
- Complete surveys and questionnaires (approximately 20-30 minutes in total)
- Participate in two focus groups, each of which will last two hours
- View and engage with a prototype website that is designed to assist with legal and financial planning
- Provide informal feedback to the study team, if requested (approximately two to four times, each lasting approximately 20-30 minutes in total)
Who can participate?
An individual may be able to take part in the study if he/she:
- Is a person living with dementia
- Is a care partner for a person living with dementia
- Lives in the US
- Speaks English as their primary language
Study Sites
This study takes place entirely online, and people may participate from anywhere. Interested individuals can complete a prescreening survey.
