Christie will be replacing Michael Koehler who was LBDA board president for the past three years and is now CEO of LBDA. “Tina’s prior performance on our board has demonstrated her strong leadership abilities,” said Graham, who heads up the search committee for open positions. “All voting members were in unanimous agreement about naming her the new board president,” added Graham. “She was the best candidate from those we interviewed both inside and outside of the organization.”
Koehler added, “Tina is ideally suited to take over the position of board president. She not only has firsthand experience with our board, but she is personally familiar with the disease. Her father was diagnosed with LBD,” explained Koehler.
Tina also brings more than 10 years of business sales experience with CRC Industries, a global chemical company, and has an MBA with a concentration in Management.
“I’m honored to be named new LBDA board president,” said Christie. “Mike has paved the way towards rapid growth and new opportunities that I’m eager to help us continue. It’s a very exciting time for the LBD community and our association.”
