Christina Christie

Christina M. Christie, President

Christina joins the LBDA board and brings not only her personal LBD experience, as her father was diagnosed with LBD, but also business acumen. Tina has an MBA with a concentration in Management and has worked for the chemical manufacturing firm, CRC Industries, Inc. for more than fifteen years and has successfully organized a Lewy body Dementia Awareness Walk annually since 2014 in Jamison, PA.

Shannon McCarty-Caplan

Shannon McCarty-Caplan, vice president

Shannon is pleased to bring her marketing experience to LBDA’s Board of Directors. She runs consumer marketing for Trend Micro in North America, and also volunteers her time as a marketing consultant for a variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations.  Shannon helped to care for her father, who had Parkinson’s disease and LBD, for seven years until he passed away in 2010. She lives in Los Angeles with her family. 

Marhsall Cannon

Marshall Cannon

Marshall brings a creative approach to the LBDA Board — with more than twenty years of marketing experience from graphic design to project management to brand management. He has worked with some of the world’s top companies like Gap, Symantec, Yahoo!, and McAfee. In 2013, he began volunteering with LBDA. Currently, he is the Manager of Creative Services at Delta Dental of California. Marshall lives in San Francisco, CA.

James Galvin

James Galvin, M.D.

James began his service to LBDA as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council, where he continues to guide the association's scientific activities. He is a professor of neurology and psychiatry Professor and Associate Dean for Clinical Research Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Jim’s experience with Lewy body dementia is both professional and personal, as his grandfather had both Parkinson’s and symptoms of Lewy body dementia.

Todd Graham

Todd Graham

Todd brings to the LBDA Board of Directors extensive senior level experience in healthcare and medical education marketing and communications, with particular emphasis in medical education and online technologies. Todd is currently the Principal for CoMeg Partners, LLC and works with prestigious clients, including The New England Journal of Medicine and The American Board of Family Medicine.

Lisa Allard

Lisa Allard

Lisa Allard brings over 30 years of accounting experience to LBDA along with a passion for LBD after the passing of her mom in 2008.  Lisa is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Families in Transition, a non-profit located in Manchester, NH, and was previously recognized as the NH Business Review’s Financial Executive-of-the-Year in the non-profit category.  Lisa received her MBA from Plymouth State University where she was recognized as a member of Delta Mu Delta, an International Honor Society in Business.  Lisa resides in Derry, NH.

Nick Williams

Nick Williams

Nick Williams brings his experience to identify opportunities for vertical and horizontal growth to LBDA. He manages the brands of PruittHealth and serves as the Chief Development and Cultural Officer there. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of the South – Sewaness and a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Xavier University.

Robert Goldberg

Robert Goldberg brings over 25 years of legal experience to LBDA’s Board of Directors. Serving as the legal expert, he is a graduate of the united State Military Academy at West point and the University of Michigan Law School. Bob completed five years of military service before he began practicing criminal and commercial litigation. Now specializing in Estate Planning and Elder Law, Bob and his staff have helped over 2,000 families develop comprehensive plans to protect their families and property, navigate the long-term care maze of Medicare, Medicaid and VA benefits; and guide them through the probate process. Bob’s vast court experience and expertise in communicating with families of those who are living with various types of dementia have given him the ability to counsel clients about their best options under the most difficult of circumstances.

Andy Matteis

Andy brings an extensive background in finance and management gleaned from his 25 year career in the investment and financing business to LBDA. Andy lost his brother to Lewy Body Dementia and he feels passionate about LBDA's mission to bring more resources and focus on this disease. He recently retired from his Wall Street career and plans to spend his time as an independent board member with several organizations and on teaching and mentoring.
