Two Paths, One Journey – Distinguishing Lewy Body Dementia from Alzheimer’s Disease

October 31, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Two Paths, One Journey – Distinguishing Lewy Body Dementia from Alzheimer’s Disease, hosted by PSS Circle of Care and featuring Julia Wood, occupational therapist and Director of Professional and Community Education for the Lewy Body Dementia Association, will delve into the critical differences between Lewy body dementia (LBD) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), two of the most common forms of progressive dementia. While both conditions affect cognitive function and memory, they have distinct characteristics, symptoms, and progression patterns. These key differences impact the journey of care partners living with Lewy body dementia in significant ways.

By the end of this presentation, you will have a clearer understanding of how LBD differs from Alzheimer’s, enabling better recognition, diagnosis, and management of these conditions.
