Moving with Grace: A Celebration of Movement, Science, and Art for the LBD Community

October 5, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Award-winning Dance for PD® classes invite people with Parkinsonism (movement changes associated with PD and LBD) and their partners to explore movement and music in ways that are enjoyable, stimulating, and creative. This research-backed global program benefits anyone living with mobility concerns. No dance experience is required. Seated or standing, energizing and inspiring music guides participants as they discover diverse dance styles and practical movement methods that address balance, flexibility, and confidence.

This one-hour session will feature a discussion about the science and art behind the Dance for PD® program, followed by a seated (for safety) interactive session for participants and a question-and-answer session with the presenter.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. List the benefits of Dance for PD® for people living with Lewy body dementia and their care partners.
  2. Describe what it feels like to participate in a Dance for PD®
  3. Identify resources to support continued participation in the Dance for PD® program, either virtually or in-person in your community.

Let’s dance!  Register today at:  https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_kvvmkUsdTJypKiieCRaSNQ
