Attending the conference? Be sure to add to your schedule, “Unmasking Lewy Body Dementia: A Compassionate Approach to Care and Well-Being,” presented by Jennifer Curry, MPH, LBDA’s Support Services Manager.
Lewy body dementia (LBD) remains one of the most underrecognized and misunderstood forms of dementia. Often misdiagnosed, LBD presents unique challenges — including hallucinations, motor symptoms, fluctuating cognition, and sleep disturbances — that make getting an accurate diagnosis even more difficult and deeply impact the daily lives of those who are living with it.
This session offers a person-centered approach to understanding LBD through the lens of the Seven Domains of Well-Being, encouraging care practices that nurture dignity, emotional safety, and connection.
“Unmasking Lewy Body Dementia: A Compassionate Approach to Care and Well-Being” is from 2:15 – 3:15pm on Wednesday, March 11.
