A Special Way to Honor Her Father
In honor of her father, who has Lewy body dementia, LBDA Program Director Angela Taylor organized a Father's Day Fundraiser by creating a personal giving web page to help raise awareness and support for families affected by LBD: www.firstgiving.com/angelataylor
LBDA board member Steve Lamb has founded a virtual support group for men who are caring for a loved one with Lewy body dementia. The group meets by teleconference and is available to anyone with access to a phone. Male caregivers who have difficulty traveling to a local support group are invited to call in and join the discussion. The group meets the second Thursday of each month from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time. Details, including contact phone numbers, are provided here.
