Past Special Events

Who are those remarkable volunteers behind the special events that support the work of the Lewy Body Dementia Association? Most often, they are family members and friends of someone with Lewy body dementia. We are proud to share stories about their incredible efforts!

This multi-year event was lead by LBDA Board Member and volunteer, Colleen Greco in honor of her father and his battle with LBD.

Dr. and Mrs. Tom Grayboys hosted a dinner party in the New York area that introduced LBD to a new audience and was a tremendous fundraiser for the organization. This evening of social elegance raised funds for LBDA and also launched the release of a new book authored by Dr. Grayboys, a physician affected by the disease.

The family and friends of Mark Gaynor have successfully held a golf tournament in Massachusetts that honors Mark’s struggle with LBD, as well as raising funds to benefit LBDA. Golf tournaments have an opportunity to reach the business community and educate the public. This outstanding, three year event became a signature in the Massachusetts area.

Thank you to Victoria Ruff who organized a fun Zumbathon that raised more than $3,000 to benefit LBDA! Zumba® with Jess presented Dancing to Defeat Dementia Zumbathon® Charity Event at the Arthur D. Healey School in Somerville, MA.
