6/12/2012 - At the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting in April, researchers from the Mayo Clinic reported on a small clinical trial which assessed the safety, tolerability and efficacy of armodafinil therapy for excessive sleepiness (hypersomnia) associated with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).

5/15/2012 - The ambitious national plan to fight Alzheimer’s disease has been released by the Department of Health and Human Services. The National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease sets forth five goals, including the development of effective prevention and treatment approaches for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by 2025.

1/20/2012 - New guidelines on diagnosing Alzheimer's will also improve the rate of detection of Lewy bodies and changes of other neurodegenerative disease at autopsy.
