Mike Koehler

Mike Koehler, president

Mike brings expansive experience to the LBDA Board of Directors in working with two of the world's largest not-for-profit professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians. His career includes many years of experience in consumer, business to business, and healthcare publishing, as well as the continuing medical education space.



Shannon McCarty-Caplan

Shannon McCarty-Caplan, vice president

Shannon is pleased to bring her marketing experience to LBDA’s Board of Directors. She runs consumer marketing for Trend Micro in North America, and also volunteers her time as a marketing consultant for a variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations.  Shannon helped to care for her father, who had Parkinson’s disease and LBD, for seven years until he passed away in 2010. She lives in Los Angeles with her family. 

Marhsall Cannon

Marshall Cannon

Marshall brings a creative approach to the LBDA Board — with more than twenty years of marketing experience from graphic design to project management to brand management. He has worked with some of the world’s top companies like Gap, Symantec, Yahoo!, and McAfee. In 2013, he began volunteering with LBDA. Currently, he is the Manager of Creative Services at Delta Dental of California. Marshall lives in San Francisco, CA.

Christina Christie

Christina M. Christie

Christina joins the LBDA board and brings not only her personal LBD experience, as her father was diagnosed with LBD, but also business acumen. Tina has an MBA with a concentration in Management and has worked for the chemical manufacturing firm, CRC Industries, Inc. for more than ten years.

Robert Doheny

Robert Doheny

Robert comes LBDA with a passion for impacting awareness of LBD having cared for his mother who was diagnosed with this disease. Before her passing, Robert honored his mother through a photography/art auction to raise funds to support LBD awareness efforts in her name. Robert went on to found the Metro Detroit Lewy Body Dementia Support Group based in Troy, Michigan, in 2014. He has been in the healthcare field for over 18 years, currently employed as a Certified Surgical First Assistant at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Robert is also an accomplished author and resides in Macomb Township, Michigan.

James Galvin

James Galvin, M.D.

James began his service to LBDA as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council, where he continues to guide the association's scientific activities. He is a professor of neurology and psychiatry Professor and Associate Dean for Clinical Research Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Jim’s experience with Lewy body dementia is both professional and personal, as his grandfather had both Parkinson’s and symptoms of Lewy body dementia.

Todd Graham

Todd Graham

Todd brings to the LBDA Board of Directors extensive senior level experience in healthcare and medical education marketing and communications, with particular emphasis in medical education and online technologies. Todd is currently the Principal for CoMeg Partners, LLC and works with prestigious clients, including The New England Journal of Medicine and The American Board of Family Medicine.

Norma Loeb

Norma Loeb

Norma for more than ten years has been the primary caregiver for her mother who has LBD. Norma is also the support group facilitator for two LBD support groups in New York, and ran the eldercare group at The New York Times where she worked for many years as an Executive Assistant to the CFO. She also helped found and is currently the Executive Director of the nonprofit, What BETTER Looks Like.
