Lewy Body Dementia: Information for Patients, Families, and Professionals was recently awarded a platinum Generations Award. This annual international competition honors phenomenal achievement and service of professionals communicating to elders worldwide.
The 40-page educational booklet was the result of a collaborative effort between the Lewy Body Dementia Association, the Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at the University of California, San Diego, and the National Institute on Aging and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. JBS International, an NIA contractor that provided editing and design services for the project, submitted the publication to the competition.
A panel of advertising, public relations, and media professionals judged the 2013 entries. The panel evaluated each entry on their individual design, content, communication effectiveness, and overall excellence. Winners gained recognition in one of the following three categories: Platinum, Gold, and Special Recognition.
LBDA congratulates JBS International, all collaborators, and the LBDA staff, advisors and volunteers who worked so diligently on this outstanding educational resource on LBD. To read the booklet or download it in .pdf format from LBDA, please click here.
