 Happy Valentine's Day
While Ted is declining yet again more rapidly, I have to share this: When I went back to the NH yesterday evening, I found a Valentine's Day card and box of chocolates for me on Ted's table. Ted can no longer talk, but nods and sometimes smiles. Turns out his brother Jack had gotten a card and signed it for Ted and had left it with the chocolates for me. It was such a thoughtful, sweet, touching gesture. I told Ted how sweet his brother was, and made sure I ate one of the chocolates in front of him--he smiled. Made my day.

 Re: Happy Valentine's Day
Valentine's day in our branch of LBD land: I got my mother a pretty card to give to my dad for Valentine's day. I asked her if she wanted me to write something for her in the card (her vision and coordination limit her ability to write to just being able to scrawl her name.) She thought for a minute, then dictated to me: "Pull yourself together! I'm going to survive."
