Post Happy Holidays
To one and all,

I celebrate Christmas. Others celebrate Chanukah, or the holiday season in other ways. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very joyous and blessed holiday season. The times are busy generally during the holidays and whether one has family over or travels, preparations can get hectic. Our LBD community have unique issues. The stress these holidays bring to LBD patients and caregivers alike must be managed with great fortitude and patience. If you celebrate with family in your home, I pray you have the help you will need. If you travel, I pray your journey is safe. If your loved one is in a care home, I pray the staffs are jolly and these days will be merry for them and for you. The moments will be bittersweet. Most of all I pray that each of you create special memories that will carry you through to the next year, no matter what it may bring. For those who've suffered loss, I pray you have someone to hug.

God bless you one and all and again, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.
Terri

We also celebrate Christmas. My sister celebrates Chanukah [which is over, now] and my mother celebrates 'Bah! Humbug!'. :P I would like to wish everyone a season filled with joy and peace! God bless all of you and may the New Year be better than the old one.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday to all of you celebrating whatever holiday(s) you celebrate! I am attaching one of my most recent paintings from which I printed this year's Christmas cards from my family, so please consider it a whatever-holiday-you-wish greeting! I just came from one of my sons' apartments where he and his girlfriend have their first joint Christmas tree/Chanukah bush with holiday ornaments being given them by various family members celebrating both holidays! It's so nice when people can get along and accept one another no matter what their religion is or isn't!
This time of year is always bittersweet. I miss my mom so much (gone 15 years) and my dad (2 years) too.

Merry Christmas everyone! I haven't been on the forums much lately because my computer died a few months ago so I have to use my brother's in the garage. Next month I'm buying a new laptop, though and will be back to contributing on these pages.
Have a safe and Happy New Year.
Ellen

where did you grow up Bonnie? I live in VT and we could use some more snow right now! I've been having to fake it with my recent winter paintings. LOL

I grew up in the farmlands of Ohio, in the lake affect snow belt. We had so much snow one year that they had to bring in the National Guard tanks to go over the country roads so we could get out after a week of being snowed in. It was beautiful !!!!

Bonnie - sounds like you had quite the storms where you grew up. We're getting a nice snowstorm here today in Vermont. Just came back from cross country skiing and it was quite a workout! The driveway is about ready for its 3rd clearing of the day but I think my husband will wait till tomorrow AM since we don't need to go out anywhere tonight. Will post some of my snowy photos of my yard later. Have a good night everyone. Lynn
