 Flu/Pneumonia vaccines
Has anyone had experience with flu shots or pneumonia vaccines? John and I have never had either and his doctor is recommending them. With the LBD, I'm definitely more concerned with him getting sick since treatments can be dangerous, but wonder if anyone has had bad reactions to the shots. Doctor did convince him to get the pneumonia vaccine today. Many thanks, Terri

 Re: Flu/Pneumonia vaccines
We both continue to get flu shots every year and my husband has never had any negative reaction to them. I think it's good insurance. Now that he's in the SNF, they asked me last fall if I wanted him to have one [I said yes] so apparently it's not mandatory. I guess I just consider how miserable he would be with a bad case of flu and not fully comprehending the situation.

 Re: Flu/Pneumonia vaccines
I agree, my Mom gets a flu shot every year and has had no adverse effects. Ellen
