Vacation Plans -- eagerness and anxiety
Coy and I and one of his daughters, Barb, are scheduled on a 7-night cruise next month. Oh my.
We have taken one cruise since Lewy joined us, and that was in his first year of mild symptoms (after the inflamation in the brain cleared up). It was to Tahiti. I was able to handle it all myself.
This one is in Lake Michigan.

Coy is very excited about it and eager. It gives him something to look forward to. I am glad we are doing it. Bringing Barb along may even make it a vacation for me.
My two sons have just agreed to drive us to and from Chicago, where we embark and disembark, saving the hassle of dealing with luggage and a wheelchair and a walker on the plane or bus and the transfers to and from Navy Pier. This is a big worry eliminated.
Coy spent yesterday in bed, sick. He has days like that once in a while now. I worry about that happening while we cruise. My diabetes has advanced to the point I am now insulin dependent. In a way that may give me more flexibility, but I just hope we get the dosage adjusted correctly by next month. (I'm only in the second week.) I'm also having some IBS episodes. So, all in all, I'm a little anxious about what I've signed us up for.
But, hey, stressful things can happen right here at home, too, so off we go to see 7 ports in 7 days!
This may (or may not) be Coy's last "big" vacation. Wish us luck!
