My dear Clyde has a desire to spend a lot of his days & nights on the floor.
He will shuffle around constantly, put himself on the floor, anywhere, near the sink, on the deck outside, favorite place is our master bathroom floor!
At first, I finally called the fire dept. to get him up, but now I just let him roam about and lie down where he will, for as long as he wants.
Has anyone had similar behavior issues to deal with?
I asked him "why"? he said something in his head told him he has to do this to stay alive. Curious!

I haven't heard this before but I think your hands-off approach makes sense. He is safe on the floor!
