Thanks Ger. There are so many of us in such a state of shock. I went to my old office today to connect with some of my former coworkers and friends, and we are in a zombi-like state. Ironically, she was a wellness program director and the most fit and healthy 61-year old I know.
I'm working on the paintings this afernoon! That is making me feel a little better. Lynn

Please post the picture of the painting, I would love to see it. I feel like I know you (especially after seeing your photo), and every personal thing that we are able to post makes us more real as "friends" and not just Lewy CG's. I love all the information and sharing about Lewy, don't get me wrong, and it has answered so many questions for me about my mom, but all the personal things we post just makes us more "real". Does that make sense? Like what none of you know about me is that I knit, and I make braided rag rugs ( which i would love to post a picture of).

So nice of you to post a photo of your lovely rugs. My mom made beautiful braided wool rugs and these remind me of some of hers. I must have 15 of hers in my house. Yes, it is so much nicer to get to know one another as "whole" human beings, not just the disease and CG parts. I haven't finished the first painting for my friend's family yet but here's a painting I just finished that I'm taking to a show.
I can't upload it now - some glitch in the software so I'll post it later.

Those are beautiful!!! I love them....Ger I used to sew and quilt some too...I miss it too.....and embroider...maybe I can try the embroidery this evening...I got a LCD magnifying floor light that lights my lap....might work And Lynn...can't wait to see your painting!!!

Every time I try to post a painting I get a message that says "the image file is invalid." OK, now what?

I just have to laugh at myself because both times that I've posted pictures on the LBD site, I was unable to and had to wait for my nephew to come over to do it for me!! I feel like my grandmother with some of these "modern contraptions"!!

This is in honor of summer, and painting to create memories. Everywhere we travel, I carry a little watercolor sketch pad and kit. A year ago my husband and I were in Barcelona for a conference. His meeting so, for once, I had an actual vacation! This is the little beach town of Castelldefels, where we stayed. So imagine yourself at the beach on the Mediterranean coast, resting on a rock wall after a long walk, and planning to stop for gelat on the way back (I think that's the Catalan word for ice cream!)
