 Re: Photos R Us
My mom's greatest joy is her family - especially those two great-grandchildren, who come to see her every week. (My daughter is just awesome, a wonderful mama and daughter and granddaughter.) I wanted to post that to add to the collection - all these photos have made me smile, and feel part of a much larger extended family of folks doing the best they can, caring for their families, and laughing together in spite of all the challenges.
So here are my daughter, Lilac again, and brother Alan (yes, his hair is really that red! No, not a particle of Irish ancestry so far as I know.) Maybe I'll find one of me with my mom or daughter, too... though I tend to duck the camera, like some other folks on this thread!

 Re: Photos R Us
Hi all, feeling very sentimental today. Brought Dad home from hospital, but seeing him out of that environment has really brought home to me just how unwell he is. I was looking through my wedding album and wanted to share this little story. Dad is a very quiet, shy man, and dreaded the day he would have to walk any of his 3 daughters down the aisle. The poor man was so nervous. He got so drunk on my wedding day that I had to carry him up the aisle You can see by the 1st photo that he was pretty drunk, but it is my favourite photo of us. I love him so much and am tormented looking at him suffering. These photos remind me of the good old days.

Ger, you look like a fairytale princess! And that hair is stunning. Ah, yes, memories.
These photos are fun.
Sandwich Mom, you are so cute and have such an infectious smile, that everytime I scroll through your pic, I smile back at you.

 Re: Photos R Us
Hi all. On a lighter note, I had a wonderful day at the wedding. The food was divine, the company the best and the music was so good, I never got off the dance floor. I am tired and a little bit hungover today, but I had the time of my life. I got home at 4am my time last night and it was better than any summer holiday. It was a breath of fresh air to really have some fun for a change. Spending time with my cousins and uncle and aunt was bittersweet as I missed my Mom and Dad, who should have been there, but really, having a good time with my husband and extended family was the best medicine.
