Take good care of yourselves so you aren't a casualty of the disease too. What a relief. At least that's what happened to a friend of mine who had a stroke at age 52 and could not return to work as an engineer. I'm glad you have some $ coming in again. Gee, I haven't been looking on this section much, so missed much of your struggle. I'm so glad you have your disability now. How about your house? Did the bank give you a break? Or did you need to find something else? Terrific that your wife and daughters are stepping up - even if your wife has her own demons to fight. And good for her for fighting them. You and your family (now that they truly understand the issue) are an example of "when the going gets tough, the tough get going." The "tough" just needed to understand how tough the situation is. Tonya, about driving. My sister has been on disability for years (severe depression and PTSD). She never stopped driving and has had to drive for her medical appointments. Lately, as a writer, she has even worked a bit. I think there's a dollar limit that you can earn. I know there is with plain old Social Security. Best wishes to both of you. Keep up the good work.
