Post surgery
Hii all,
I'm going for my surgery tomorrow, so I'm asking for your prayers. It is only minor, and I should be out in a couple of days, but I am nervous.
I told Dad today before I left, and he was upset, and the poor man kept asking me to take some money ( this coming from the same man that is constantly accusing me of stealing all his money, and his pension!!), but he was fine when I told him I'd see him in a few days.
I'll let ye know how it goes,
Ger

Best wishes for successful surgery and an easy recovery, Ger! If your dad's sense of time is anything like my mother's, your absense will pass quickly for him. Anyway, take good care of yourself!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Julianne

I'll be thinking about you too. Remember that worry is the interest we pay on a debt that may never come due. 'Cast all your care on Him.'

Ger - I wish you all the best with your surgery, and don't forget, the prize for using the crutches will be great triceps and biceps! Keep in touch with your LBDA family and let us know how you are doing. Lynn

Post Re: surgery
Hi all, thanks for all the good wishes. I'm back home, safe and sound, thank God. Surgery was ok, I was very sick after the anaesthetic, and got a terrible migraine, but came home last night and am a happy camper. My foot is quite sore, and the surgeon said he unfortunately had to cut a nerve in my foot as it was entangled in the tumor. This means part of my foot will be numb, but its better than the pain. It has been sent for biopsy. Fingers crossed it will be nothing serious. I am now in crutches, which I am finding very difficult to maneuvre, but will get better I'm sure. Lynn, I think I'll have great abs along with the triceps and biceps, as my stomach is sore from the little work I've done so far on the crutches.
Both my parents are anxious to see me, so I may get my sister to take me to see them tomorrow so they can see I'm ok. I'm finding it very difficult to just sit - I have always been so busy. I have some good books lined up, but hate having to ask everyone to do everything for me. I guess I'll have to adjust. I missed you all, and was anxious to catch up and see how you all were doing. Good to be back
Ger x

Welcome back, Ger! Please take it easy and let your foot heal. Others will probably enjoy doing for you for a while.

Ger - glad you are in touch and are doing ok. If the crutches are helping your abs, let me know and I'll dig my old pair out of the closet! Anything to help the flabby abs. Lynn
