LBDAâs Caregiver Helpline has helped hundreds of families find information and support. Now these families need your help! Become a Helpline Responder today. As a Responder, you will offer an invaluable resource to so many families who are caring for a loved one with LBD by providing educational information on Lewy body dementias while offering emotional support.
Being a Helpline Responder is flexible and can work around almost any schedule. Responders are on-call one day each week. Families call the Helpline and leave a message in the Helpline voicemail box. Responders login to the Helpline voicemail box through a website, retrieve messages and follow-up with callers within 24 hours. Responders should have internet access and a reliable phone service. Responders should be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience as a caregiver and/or experience in social services, psychology, or related fields is required. LBDA provides in-depth training and ongoing support to ensure the success of all Helpline Responders.
LBDA is having several trainings for new Helpline Responders over the next 2-4 weeks. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about this incredible opportunity contact us today at
lendahand@lbda.org. Please include "Helpline Responder" in the subject line. Thank you!
