Mom diagnosed in June...in facility that is not suited for this. Looking for a doctor that has had some experience with lbd to take over from facilities' md. Would appreciate any help.

For an excellent MD (Board-certified in both neurology and psychiatry) in your area, I'd recommend Dr. Benjamin Barnea. You can probably find a youtube video of him speaking on LBD on LBDAtv.

To set your expectations...you will have to take your mother to MD appts outside the facility. Usually SNFs only have a certain number of MDs who are on-staff.

If you were willing to move your mother, you could talk to Dr. Barnea about where he sees patients and what facility he'd recommend.

There's an active LBD support group in your area. I encourage you to get hooked up with them!
