 Re: Tech Issues
Another forum I frequent that uses the same software has a volunteer moderator who expends far less energy and probably one spammer gets through each week, making one annoying post. Seems like that's a better balance.

 Re: Tech Issues
LBDA - I don't see either "email" buttons or "PM" buttons at the bottom of each post. Is there no way to contact Forum members privately any more? Robin

 Re: Tech Issues
I disabled the e-mail and PM functions while we were troubleshooting the problem. Our Web hosting guys have made a change that we hope will fix the problem. I've re-enabled the e-mail and PM features - please let me know if you continue to receive extra e-mails.

 Re: Tech Issues
This is a test post to see if the duplicate e-mail problem is still occurring.

 Re: Tech Issues
I guess you guys have been intercepting all that SPAM before we saw it. Sorry you've had such a hassle. I surely did like the old format better but I'll try not to whine too much!

 Re: Tech Issues
I've unchecked the "send me an email update", so I don't know if I'm still receiving multiples. However, I am STILL not able to delete the multiples I've been getting in the last day. How strange is that? Right now I am having to use my Verizon air card, which is extremely slow in my dad's house, so I think I'm having multiple technical difficulties. I now have hundreds of emails, most of which are LBD forum dupes. Thanks for working on this. Lynn

 Re: Tech Issues
Maybe I'm being dense here, but I have not been able to figure out how to get from the forum to the LBDA home page. Any ideas, apart from typing in the URL? Just curious - is the color chart to the right supposed to work? It has been mighty tempting for someone like me who loves color, but I haven't been able to change font color or anything. Thanks, Lynn

 Re: Tech Issues
You are right. The ability to click on the LBDA logo and get to lbda.org has been removed. And there used to be hyperlinked text that would take you to lbda.org but it's gone now.
This transition has not gone well.

 Re: Tech Issues
So, without being able to get to the home page, is there any way to get to the chat, articles, etc. at this point? Lynn

 Re: Tech Issues
As you suggested, the only way is to type in the URL in the address box of your browser.

 Re: Tech Issues
Lynn, After you get back into the chat room, make it one of your "Favorites", then it's only a click away.

 Re: Tech Issues
Dear Tech people - Is this something that is also being worked on? It would be really nice to have a way to get back to the home page on the forum pages. Thanks, Lynn

 Re: Tech Issues
Not to mention that the little black and red arrows that indicate read and new posts are so tiny they are really hard to make out.

 Re: Tech Issues
I have LBDA in my toolbar so I just click on that and I'm at the home page. Then I just log in and it looks like the old set up. The little red arrows tell me which topic has new messages.
I guess what I'm saying is to me it no big problem. Looks much like the old set up. Works good for me!
