 Sinemet
My husband takes Sinemet 3 times a day on an empty stomach. I have some difficulty getting all 3 pills done due to his sleeping so much & feeding him when he is up. When directions say on empty stomach how much time before meals or after meals does that mean?

 Re: Sinemet
I think the rule we followed was 1 hour either way

 Re: Sinemet
I never was told take it on a empty stomach. The warning labels on the sinemet (Carbidopa & Levodopa 25/100) at first said could be taken with or without food. Now the warnings don't ay anything. My LO started on 3x day and now 2x day in AM and PM. Am I missing something??

 Re: Sinemet
My understanding is that it makes no difference. My drug reference states that it should be taken with food if gastric irritation occurs.
