 Nitrous oxide
My husband has to have some dental work done, I don't know if he will cooperate or not with the dentist, I also don't know if we will be able to transfer him to the dental chair, he might have to stay in his wheel chair, (it is a tilting chair), my question is can he be given nitrous oxide, I am afraid he will become combative, with just novocaine, or if he will even open his mouth so he can be examined.
If any one has any thought, ideas about this problem, it would really be welcome.

 Re: Nitrous oxide
You might want to search nitrous oxide on the forum search engine. There are several threads.

 Re: Nitrous oxide
I don't know about the nitrous oxide, but I warned the dentist before Frank's appointment, that he may not understand immediately, drools constantly and doesn't open his mouth much more than a crack. His dentist said he would do the cleaning himself and was able to handle all of that and the appointment went well. Good Luck

 Re: Nitrous oxide
Nitrous oxide is what the "dementia dentists" give in the local area. Seems to work fine.
