Just a note; I don't suspect *many* LBD patients are on this stuff, but it has been removed from the US market.

Permax/Pergolide is one of the dopamine agonists; it works similarly to Requip and Mirapex, but has been found to cause heart valve problems. Dopamine agonists manage the motor problems of Parkinson's and related syndromes. This withdrawal from the market hasn't exactly come as a surprise, nor was it contested by the three companies that make the drug.

If your LO is on Permax/pergolide, contact your doctor soon, so that an alternative management strategy can be devised. Don't just stop taking it without consulting with a healthcare professional.
