 Hospice Questions
Getting to the point where I'm looking at in home hospices. I don't know what questions to ask. Do you have any suggestions. I know I need info on how to change, move, shower my hubby in bed and transfer to and from wheelchair, car etc w/o hurting myself. This is such a hard road. My prayers to all of us for strength. At least I have nice "guns" (muscles) on my arms now amist all the fat! Oh, I have another place coming tomorrow. Thanks again.

 Re: Hospice Questions
Lori, Just want to make sure I understand you that you are having hospice come to your home for services ? If so they will pretty much will let you know what they can provide, such as shower chairs, lifts and what suppkies they will provide.

 Re: Hospice Questions
Lori, even though I have lost weight, my short-sleeved shirts seem tight around the arms because my biceps have become so developed. Every cloud has a silver lining, I guess.

 Re: Hospice Questions
Mockturtle - is there a place on here that is doing some weight loss posts? I so need to loose weight. I understand about the arm thing. My sleeves are getting tighter too. I just wish my stomach/hips would get smaller! Thanks! Thanks for the replies

 Re: Hospice Questions
Lori - go to the Respite Room. There's a topic "Weight Loss/Fitness Buddies" and you'll see where we try to cheer one another on. Pat (Mockturtle) has a great workout routine she does at home. Join us! Lynn

 Re: Hospice Questions
Lori, So glad to know you are thinking about getting your LO on hospice. (Elsewhere you mentioned that your LO has lost the ability to know how to swallow.) Have you spoken with the neurologist to get a referral for this? Here are several detailed blog posts giving you information on what matters when selecting a hospice agency and, thereby, suggesting what questions you should ask about: http://www.hospiceblog.org/2008/05/how- ... tters.htmlRobin
