Post Photographers?
I was just wondering if there are any photographers out there. I used to have a small business on the side doing wedding photography. I think I did kind of good. My son also worked with me. He is by far the better photographer. He mainly works in large format and black and white. I no longer have the businesss, had to give it up. I have always told my family if there is a fire, rescue the pictures first. I would guess close to 2,000. Yeah, tons of pictures.

If you search some of the postings here there are some places where we artists have shared our interests and some have posted photographs of their work. Lynn

Here's a photo I took on July 4th as a "bow echoe thunderstorm" came down Lake Champlain from Canada. The wind was 63 mph in my town as this came through. Some places it was over 70 mph. Lots of broken branches and downed trees, especially maples. It was really interesting to watch from our porch till the wind and rain came into our yard, then we watched from the windows. Fascinating and scary storm!

Here's the same view an hour later. The lake and the Adirondacks were glowing pink!

Thanks! We had fun watching the storm and then when the wind and rain got to our house it got pretty scary. Our electricity blinked on and off a few times but never really went off. Unfortunately for some people they are out of electricity and there was a lot of damage in some places.

Extremely strange weather year I think, these are great pictures Lynn. Our garden didn't do well at all and I think it is because our spring was forced upon us so early nothing seems to be blooming at correct time and when it does bloom it isn't for long !

Lynn:

Do you live in New York? If so, where? My husband was born in New York City and lived for 32 years in Alexandria Bay, New York - where he taught social studies for 30 years.

No, but I can see it from my house! We live in Vermont and overlook Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. We can see the glow of lights of Plattsburgh, NY at night.

Here's a photo I took in my cutting garden. The monarch actually stayed still long enough for me to get a few photos. To all you CGs out there who work so hard to keep your LO safe and well taken care of, Lynn
