 Re: Time for crushing pills? If Wayne is at the point where he is in lots of pain when he's touched or moved, and it's almost impossible to dress him in a pullover shirt, I'd cut them down the back. If my dad would have worn them, I'd have dressed him in sweatpants too to save a lot of pain and aggravation, but no matter how ill he was, he absolutely refused to wear anything but khaki pants. His last few months they didn't put his pants on because he was in pain, so he just laid in bed with blankets over him. Lynn

If Wayne is needing to crush Sinemet, you might consider speaking with the MD about switching to Parcopa, which is dissolvable Sinemet. You put it under the tongue to dissolve.

Re: Time for crushing pills? Frank is having trouble swallowing his pills. I've tried crushing them and giving them with ice cream. There is NO way to hide the taste of gabapentin, so I'll continue to try to have him take the capsule.

One of the things I used was Hershey's syrup, it did the trick !
