Re: My husband is starting to be very anxious normal? what
Dear Amvicki: Since no one else has replied to you, I'll jump in and say that paranoia is normal in Lewy. It's typical for them to hide things because they believe the 'evil' people will steal from them.
My husband is forever checking the locks on all the doors to make sure no one comes in. He is constantly reminding me to check our bank accounts. He wants me to call our various investments to make sure they will continue to pay us. He is also fearful that he will lose me..... even if there are 'two of me.'
There is no medicine that will cure that. It's just part of the Lewy Body Disease.
I hope that helps to answer your question.

Re: My husband is starting to be very anxious normal? what
My husband becomes very anxious every evening but it subsides toward bedtime. Nothing seems to help--it just has to play itself out. Nothing I can answer to his confused questions gives him any peace. Quite honestly, it drives me crazy but knowing that it only lasts a few hours helps me endure it. I'm sorry you are going through this, too. It's really awful.

Re: My husband is starting to be very anxious normal? what
My mother's doctor prescribed Ativan for anxiety and it has helped a lot. She is in a NH and there is some kind of regulation that anti-anxiety drugs can't be given on a regular schedule and must be PRN (as needed). I think it is because they can be sedating. So she can have it every eight hours as needed. I had to go a few rounds with the nurses before they started giving her even one dose per day, but its effect is immediate and obvious. Of course, it seems that no two LBD patients are alike, so it's hard to say what will work for husband. You might try a search of the term Ativan because I seem to recall there have been quite a few posts.
Good luck!

Re: My husband is starting to be very anxious normal? what
Anxiety is a very common non-motor symptom in PD and PD-related diseases. It can be difficult to treat in some.
You might check Dr. Brad Boeve's "Continuum" paper for his preferred regimen. The paper is on lbda.org.
