My father and I were never close so it was ironic that I was the one who took care of him. My mother and I are still close and I feel very blessed that she is in good health. My sister, brother and I are all pretty close and used to go camping and kayaking together before my husband got sick. We don't live very near each other but we talk at least once a week.
