 Dental care
My husband will have two teeth extracted because of the decline in his dental health brought on by poor dental hygeine since he has been unable to care for himself. The staff at the residential facility tries to brush and floss, but without much luck.
Any comments about this situation and what to do about it?

 Re: Dental care
Go for laughing gas rather than something else. This may preclude having it done at the place where he resides. Having it done at home is preferred but I'd say laughing gas is more important.
There are dentists who specialize in treating those with dementia. Contact the Alzheimer's Association for a list.
And have a plan for dealing with the pain that may result from the extractions.

 Re: Dental care
What's the problem with novocaine? My husband has had novocaine every time he has his teeth cleaned, which is usually quarterly.
