 Recipe for home made wipes
what you will need: round plastic container, rubbermaid # 6 or ( works well) thick strong roll of paper towels. sharp knife to cut the paper towel roll in half. 2 cups of water than has been boiled and cooled to room temperature. 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo or baby wash. 1 tablespoon of baby oil.
cut a roll of paper towels in half w/ a knife and remove the inner cardboard core.
mix liquid ingredients in container.
place the towels in the container w/ the cut side downward.
secure the lid tightly and allow to sit until all the liquid has been absorbed.
turn the container upside down and let sit for 10 minutes.
open container and 'start' the roll by pulling a towel from the inside of the roll.
they are now ready to use

Re: Recipe for home made wipes
wow - I didn't know anyone ever made their own wipes. If they work well, what a money savings! Lynn

Re: Recipe for home made wipes
I'd have to figure it out...I pay a LOT for paper towels nowadays and buy the wipes by the giant carton at Costco...I'd have to find the dry weight of the towels and dry some of the wipes to find the equivalent weight per unit...
I love stuff like that, though--make it yourself. Used to read Heloise's Handy Housekeeping Hints religiously! Used her tips a lot. Thanks, Irene!

Re: Recipe for home made wipes
I know several caregivers who used them several yrs back and with the cost of everything going up, I have no idea of how cost saving these would be anymore but I knew I had it and wanted to post for others to decide if they are interested !
