I'm no expert on this, but aren't the Medicare rules just saying that you have to go through your hospice provider to get what you need? As in, the hospice provider is responsible for providing the needed care, whether it is setting a bone or providing pain relief, but you just have to go through them first instead of going directly to another provider?
That is cumbersome but it is not the same thing as being denied the care you need. It simply would be a matter of who orders it.
