 Severe headaches and constant yawning?
Are severe headaches a common symptom of LBD? My dad has frequent headaches and says he feels like his brain is swelling. Scheduled for CAT scan Monday.q This was scheduled after 2 falls this week. Not sure if he even hit his head. Complained of headaches beforehand.
Also, Dad is constantly yawning. Big huge yawns. Even if he's had lots of sleep. Any input???

Re: Severe headaches and constant yawning?
Is he on meds that could make him tired? Anti depressants? BP meds? Pain killers? Even Motrin in high doses can make people very tired, despite a good night's sleep. If he is not getting enough deep sleep, he could be tired even if it appears that he's slept for many hours. Is he hallucinating and having lots of really vivid dreams?

Re: Severe headaches and constant yawning?
Some people report headaches...many do not. Of course many people, whether neurodegenerated or not, have headaches.
It is possible that headaches in LBD are caused by orthostatic hypotension. OH can cause "coathanger pain," which can cause headaches.
No clue about the yawning. I read an interesting article in WebMD Health magazine or one of those free magazines you see in doctor's offices. It said that we still don't know what causes yawning.
