 mom pasted away
Mom pasted away yesterday. She had another bladder infection and was dehydrated. I had a long talk with her doctor and after talking to him about the prognosis, I decided to not do anymore treatment. It was very difficult for me as it was my decision alone to make. Mom was getting bed sores at the nursing home and was not responding much anymore. My journey with mom is over. For anyone that has to make this decision, it is not easy and you just have to weigh all the options and try to see into the future as best you can. She went peacefully with no pain.-----Jack

God bless you, Jack. You have fought the good fight. She is out of the vicious grasp of Lewy now.

 Re: mom pasted away
Hi Jack - you are probably sad and relieved at the same time. It is so sad to lose someone you love so much, but seeing them dealing with a terrible condition is so painful too. I'm glad your mom doesn't have to suffer any more. My dad is very close to the end too, and not seeing him suffer will be a blessing, although I'll miss him so much. Lynn

Jack, Your mother was so lucky to have you and your decision to end your mom's suffering was made with love. I'm happy that her passing was peaceful. Most of us that post here seem to be women and it was heartwarming to see such caring and devotion from a son. Take care of yourself now, Sher
