I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think we ever get over the loss of a parent, especially at a young age. Having lost my father so young, I can tell you that you don't get over it, you get through it. Your father will never really leave you. He is a part of you. He will still protect you and love you, just in less obvious ways. It took me many years before I came to understand this. I hope it comes more quickly for you.
