Doesn't anyone want to use the Chatline?
Hi folks. I've been on the chatline a lot lately and no-one has een available while I've been on. Are you having trouble with it? Or are people busy with the holiday? I expect it is the former as Lewy Body Disease does not respect the holidays.

Robin, I don't know how to delete my duplicate post
Hi Robin. I would delete my duplicate post, but I don't know how. I didn't mean to duplicate it. If you let me know what to do I will do it. Annie

Go to the duplicate post at
http://community.lbda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1968
Inside your original message, in the righthand corner you should see a button marked with an X. That's the delete key. You can delete it until someone replies to it.

 chatline
I have tried to use the chat line and there is never any one on. I just gave up. Maybe I need some lessons.

OK, I asked the administrator to delete the duplicate post.
Maybe Annie and Mary should arrange a specific time that you'll both be in the chat room.

 Tentative Chatline Instructions
The Chatline is accessed through the "Online Community" tab on the homepage. It is the next selection down from the discussion group in the dropdown menu. Read the guidelines, then click on "enter LBDA's chat room". For the next instructions I've cut and pasted from an email from Caite, the Development and Program Manager of LBDA. In response to my request for help getting on the chatline, here is what she wrote:
Thank you again for your message. Iâve been contacted by several people who had questions on how to get into the chatroom or who experienced problems on how to enter the chatroom. Weâre working on a better set of âhow toâ steps to put on the chatroom page to make this a little easier.
You actually can use any user name you want for the chatroom. It is not linked with your account. So, if you wanted, you could simply type your name, you could use your username from the website (AnnieN) or you could use any other name or word youâd like to.
Even though there is that little asterisk next to âpasswordâ you donât need to type anything in the password box. There is no password for the chatroom and this may have been why you received the error message. Iâm not really sure why the website designers chose to use the âasteriskâ to mean that the password is an optional field. The password field confused me and many others who tried to use the chatroom â just know youâre not alone in having encountered an issue with the chatroom and that weâre working on helping make it a little easier to use. J
Please give the chatroom another try by typing only a username and not typing a password.
This is Annie again. Good luck Scientist and others. I followed Caite's instructions and can get on now.

 CHAT ROOM
At first I thought being on the Forums would also get me into the Chat Room, but after reading a few Forum postings I guess that isn't the case. I can get to where you try to log in to the Chat but there doesn't seem to be a registration for Chat if you aren't already on it.
Where do I get Caite? Thanks.

LTCVT -
The Chat Room is offered by the LBDA. The LBDA also offers this Forum. They have nothing to do with each other.
Have you visited this page?
http://www.lbda.org/index.cfm?fuseactio ... page_id=55
If you can't figure things out, at the bottom of that page is a "Contact US" selection. Use that to contact the LBDA about the Chat Room.
